Trump is the cruel authoritarian leader evangelical 'Christians' ALWAYS wanted

THAT is why they defend him. They are not ashamed of his unethical behavior; they LOVE it.

The real reason Christian Nationalist aren’t ashamed of Trump putting his unwrapped orange baby carrot in a porn star while his wifey was home with his infant: they knew exactly what they were getting. His lack of ethics, his cruelty, his othering of anyone not ‘Hwhite’ is a feature, not a bug, to the Christian Nationalists.

In the Baylor Religion Survey there was no better predictor of Trump support than the belief that America is a Christian nation, true even for Democrats, and these people have stripped Christianity of its moral component.

A new study by Andrew Whitehead drills down on this creepy and terrifying phenomenon. Specifically, Christian Nationalism looks to the gloom and doom eye for an eye Old Testament to find reasons to exclude others from the American Dream. Formerly America was seen by Christians to have a special obligation of morality, but this new sect rejects the classic American ideal that God would bless the country for defending liberty and justice for all.

Christian Nationalism argues to keep bloodlines pure, defend borders and kill kill kill. The military industrial complex couldn’t be happier with Trump Christians and their old school Biblical lust for apocalypse and war. (But, shrimp and pork are somehow okay. What gives?)

Another study by Yale’s Philip Gorski shows that the Trumpism form of Christian Nationalism serves as racial identity only. There is no moral component to this Christianity stripped of its “ethical content and transcendental reference.” Gorski explains the terrifying truth of a magic book twisted into a justification for hate and power. “To those outside the fold, Trumpism may appear to be an incoherent jumble of prejudice and fear.

Seen from the inside, however, its various elements are knit together by hidden logic — the logics of blood and apocalypse. The metaphor of blood connects white racism (blood purity), unrestrained militarism (blood conquest), and no-holds-barred anti-terrorist policies (blood sacrifice). It is the hidden foundation that connects the border wall with promises to destroy ISIS and ignore the Geneva Convention.” To be Christian is to belong, and to be a Christian President is to have no consequences for your actions.

It’s terrifying to see the cult thinking that excuses David Koresh style sinful Messiahs to do whatever they want now expand upon a national stage. I lived this grew up in a cult, and it’s a dangerous circular and unbreakable brainwashing loop. Those given this power always abuse it, those giving the power will never hold dear leader accountable.

Trump makes himself the new sinful Messiah who can protect from hoards of Mexican rapists and Muslim Terrorists, often saying "believe me" and "I will do it." His sheep will never question his motives, and neither will their shepherds. The Preachers love to compare Trump to Old Testament King Cyrus, saying God uses ungodly men.

To these people proximity to power is more important than morality, but by their own logic, they are being fooled. The Bible says the antichrist will be a world leader. He will fool everyone into thinking he’s Jesus like. The only way to figure out he is fake is by looking at the facts, aka the truth.

By their own Magic Book's logic, Trump is the antichrist. Just saying.

Actually they are giving all religions a bad name But sadly it is up to other Christians to fix this problem. They have to take back their religion. There is no quality control in many of these Evangelical churches Any con can start a church, pick and chose from the Bible, and begin to collect money from the sheeple. I think what happened was in the 70/80ties when the FBI went after the KKKand the clan that thye just went underground in these churches where they got power and tax free money and they used these churches to run for congress and positions of authority in their states. It really is up to fellow Christians to clean house.

I believe Jesus was offered earthly power as one of the temptations of the devil when he was in the desert for 40 days and he turned it down saying his kingdom was not of this world.

But I can assure you of one thing, when your time of judgment comes, you won’t be asked to recite scripture, but rather, if anything, the question will be: Did you get the message and live by it? For all of you people out there on the religious right, you should try to remember that looking for sins to condemn, and people to persecute in the name of God, is simply Satan’s way of keeping you from seeing what is good and praiseworthy. It’s Satan’s favorite means of deceit; getting people to hate and kill each other in the name of God and Christ Jesus. Twisting scripture to incite hatred and division. Understand this; that by doing so, you are defaming the name of Christ, associating Jesus with bigotry and hate. Jesus was never cursed with these feelings, these sins that you commit in His name. It’s widely agreed that He rose above it all, and to use His name for the justification of spreading contempt and hatred for anyone is true heresy. It isn’t Pro-Christ by any means, but clearly Anti-Christ. ********************************************************* ~ It doesn't really seem to matter at this point whether you believe in God and Christ or not. What we have are Anti-Christians, the antithesis of the persona Jesus, and they are attempting, through legislation, to declare America to be a theocratic state and nation, legitimizing discrimination under the false guise of "religious freedom". If you're not one of the "chosen" you're fair game for persecution, oppression and abuse. It’s a perfect "us" and "them" scenario. Wow, profound is right! Well written! May I share and credit you?
