Trump Is Attempting to Start a War via Twitter. Again.

Trump told Rouhani to meet him in the schoolyard as soon as the bell rings to settle this ONCE AND FOR ALL.

Since the proper way to handle items of international diplomacy is via Twitter, Donald Trump issued his latest warning to another world leader in the middle of the night in an all caps tweet, this time the recipient of the Trump’s Twitter ire was President Hassan Rouhani of Iran.

Trump’s latest rant appears to be a response to Rouhani’s comments made earlier that same day, “Mr. Trump, don’t play with the lion’s tail, this would only lead to regret.” The remark was made at a meeting of Iranian diplomats. Rouhani was warning Trump to cease his hostile policies against Tehran. In response to all of the YELLING ON TWITTER, Iranian officer, General Gholam Hossein Gheibparvar called Trump’s tantrum “psychological warfare,” claiming Trump was all bluster and no substance.

Critics of the Trump administration called the unpresidential behavior a provocation, one that could start an armed conflict, but Sarah Huckabee Sanders was quick to hop on her podium and say Iran started it. The German foreign minister, Christofer Burger, in attempt to be the adult said, “we support dialogue and talks, and we call on all sides to exercise restraint and rhetorical disarmament," which is German for "quit trying to start a war on Twitter, you tiny-fingered colossal waste of oxygen."

Trump withdrew the U.S. from the Iran nuclear agreement in May, claiming it was a “horrible one-sided deal that should have never, ever been made.” The rest of the countries involved in the deal, including Iran, have vowed to stand by it.
