This is the latest development on what appears to be a push for BRICS nations - Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa- towards building their own high-speed Internet that is free of U.S influence. The idea is to create a separate backup system of Domain Name Servers (DNS) that would not be subject to control by international organizations.
