Putin taunts Trump by declaring Kim Jong-un the 'winner of this round'

Russian president, Vladimir Putin, declares Kim Jong-un winner of the missile contest. Entire world loses.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably heard about the ultimate school yard Twitter fight between “Dotard” Donald Trump and “Little Rocket Man” Kim Jong-un. The fight recently progressed from name calling to button-size comparing, as the egos of these two unstable men push the world ever closer to nuclear war.

A few people have tried to calm Trump with the occasional ego-stroke, like Slate staff writer Josh Keating giving Trump credit in getting North Korea to engage in talks with South Korea. Unfortunately, the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, is having it, and has declared himself for team Jong-un.

In a recent televised meeting, Putin praised the North Korean leader calling him “shrewd and mature.” He went on to declare him the winner of the nuclear showdown, “I think that Mr Kim Jong Un has obviously won this round. He has completed his strategic task: he has a nuclear weapon, he has missiles of global reach, up to 13,000 km, which can reach almost any point of the globe.”

The news that Putin, his idol, has named him loser will likely be quite the blow to Trump’s fragile ego. There is always the hope that his advisors in the White House can contain whatever Twitter tantrum or inappropriate response he has, but that seems unlikely. Winter may indeed be coming.
