Tony Abbot, Prime Minister of Australia, apparently chose to delay/abandon the scheduled increase in the Superannuation Guarantee from 9% to 12%. This is contrary to the promise made by Abbot during his election in 2013. Abbot also unwittingly made a speech to Parliament in 2014 saying that money squirreled away for superannuation funds would be given to the working class within the next 10 years.
