Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau Brings Joy To The Land Of Chicken Joy

In a full-on charm offensive, Trudeau delighted Filipinos with a surprise visit to the popular Filipino fast food chain Jollibee.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau charms the Filipino people once again.

Trudeau paid a surprise visit to Jolibee's North Harbour branch last Sunday morning (Nov. 12, 2017, PST).

He is in Manila, along with other global leaders, for the 2017 Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit. The event is hosted by the Philippines and will run from Nov. 13-15, 2017.

This is the Prime Minister's first trip back to the country since the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit last 2015. It would be remembered that Trudeau was barely a month into office during that time. But the Filipinos welcomed him and was endeared by his good looks and charm, crowning him with the title #APECHOTTIE. “This is fresh on the world stage. We’ll take some interest right and convert that into the substance of what we’re talking about,” he said, back then.

During his visit to Jolibee, he ordered a Strawberry float and 1 pc. Chicken Joy. He also took selfies, shook hands and mingled with the people there.
