Another win for Dems! Blue wave washes over conservative Wisconsin

A Democratic victory in a traditionally conservative Wisconsin district has Republicans, like Gov. Scott Walker, worried

In Wisconsin on Tuesday, Patty Schachtner beat out Republican State Representative Adam Jarchow for the open Wisconsin…

Although a clear underdog in the race, Schachtner, who hails from the traditionally conservative district in a county where every district voted for Trump, managed to lead her opponent by 1600 votes. Jarchow is currently in the middle of his third term as a State Representative and has built a “formidable base” in the state, but it wasn’t enough to help him defeat Schachtner, a medical examiner and school board member, for the seat previously held by Republican Sheila Harsdorf for 16 years. Harsdorf resigned her seat to take her position as the agriculture secretary for Governor Scott Walker.
