(AllHipHop News) AllHipHop.com caught up with Zaytoven for an interview, and the discussion covered the topics of Atlanta’s current Hip Hop scene and the rise of “mumble rap.”
“I understand why they might not be fans of it at first, but I think that’s the type of music that really grows on people. And people try to mimic that same sound that they didn’t like at first,” said Zay. “The mumble rap, or the things that’s going on right now in music, especially coming out of Atlanta, is more so creativity than anything.”
He added, “It’s a lot of guys that can really rap and put words together, but the way that these guys now-a-days are putting melodies together and the way they’re putting their hops together, even the certain mumbles – I’ve been a fan of that since the artists started doing it.”
In addition, the Atlanta-based beatmaker talked about the success of Migos, his musical influences, and possibly making a record for Donald Trump.
