Wisconsin Police Department Flooded With Calls For Lil Uzi Vert

A local Wisconsin police department spent days answering phone calls from people hoping to speak with Lil Uzi Vert.

(AllHipHop News) Apparently, an unknown prankster posted the Baraboo PD’s non-emergency phone number on several social media sites claiming it belongs to the Philadelphia-raised rapper.

“Our communications center has been inundated with phone calls asking for a specific rapper by the name of ‘Lil Uzi,’” said Baraboo Police Captain Robert Sinden.

The calls began on January 10, and the department received between 100 to 200 calls for Uzi per hour.

“I’ve never heard of that artist,” Sinden added. “But he must be somewhat popular.”

Baraboo PD was worried the high amount of calls would occupy the dispatch center, and they were forced to change the non-emergency phone number for after regular work hours to a recorded line.

As of Thursday, the phone Lil Uzi Vert calls had decreased, but some individuals continue to dial into the police.
