(AllHipHop News) The work in Houston continues and rapper/activist Trae Tha Truth continues to give back, after raising almost $200,000 for his hometown after Hurricane Harvey devastated the Texas city.
On Tuesday Oct. 17, Cricket Wireless joined forces up with Trae's nonprofit Angel by Nature (ABN) and ABN’s “Relief Gang,” a dedicated posse of volunteers working since the catastrophe occurred. The 50-plus day effort is centered on Houston’s hardest hit neighborhoods. Trae and others soon became the face of the ground forces saving lives and raising money as well, particularly for low-income communities.
Cricket also presented Trae with two Alcatel IDOL 4s with 1-year of free service to consolidate and organize ABN’s coordination of hundreds of volunteers and countless offers for help by companies, nonprofits and people.
Trae has been honored by Houston’s mayor and members of congress for this heroic deeds in the midst of the chaos and tragedy.
