Jay-Z's "Moonlight" Video With All Black 'Friends' Cast Now Viewable Without Paywall

WATCH THE CLIP STARRING JERROD CARMICHAEL, ISSA RAE, LAKEITH STANFIELD, TIFFANY HADDISH, TESSA THOMPSON & LIL REL HOWERY

(AllHipHop News) The highly praised Jay-Z music video for "Moonlight" debuted on the Tidal paid subscription based service.

However, internet users can now watch the star-studded clip for free via YouTube.

For "Moonlight," Jay and director Alan Yang (Master of None) remade an episode of the 1990s sitcom Friends with an all black cast.

The video stars Jerrod Carmichael (The Carmichael Show), Issa Rae (Insecure), Lakeith Stanfield (Atlanta), Tiffany Haddish (Girls Trip), Tessa Thompson (Creed), and Lil Rel Howery (Get Out) as the original characters from the NBC series.

"I don’t want to be didactic and tell people what to think of the video, but one thing that Jay and I talked about is the importance of making your own stuff," Yang stated in an interview about the visuals. "I know that sounds trivial, but it really is just owning and making your own stuff. And that applies to movies, music, TV shows, art, whatever it is you’re making. It’s important to be the author of your own material."
