Rapper Andre 3000 Gives Up Jail To Travel Into A Black Hole In Space

Andre 3000 is starring in a new sci-fi thriller that will see the rapper sent into a black hole in outer space.

(AllHipHop News) Founding Outkast member Andre 3000 Benjamin will star in a new movie called "High Life."

According to Variety , the movie centers around a pair of criminals who agree to head to space to enter into a black hole, in return for reduced jail sentences on earth.

In addition to Andre, the movie will star Juliette Binoche, Robert Pattinson, and Mia Goth.

Principal photography for "High Life" is slated to start shooting in Cologne, Germany sometimes this year.

The news of Andre Benjamin's new, high-profile role is in line with the rap star's transition out of rap.

Last month, Andre revealed he had no real plans to come back to hip-hop, much less make another Outkast album.

"I’m really more focused on what I am going to be doing 10 years from now. And I hope to God it won’t be rapping," Andre 3000 said.

The current crop of emcees make it hard for an emcee of 3000's caliber to want to participate. Its just not inspiring music. But what 3000 needs to realize is that his fans won't be expecting to hear Migos from him. He didn't need to state what he plans on doing or not doing 10 years from now, just do. Stacks has allowed himself to put an age limit on "our" art form. Strangely enough falling into status quos is highly uncharacteristic of Stacks. My rule is that 45 year old MCs should make music for 45 year olders. But then again don't do it if you're not all the motivated.
