(AllHipHop News) Nicki MInaj called out cultural appropriation as she performed at designer Philipp Plein’s New York Fashion Week show.
Nicki was the guest performer at the German style star's runway show on and performed alongside 21 Savage, Yo Gotti and Rae Sremmurd.
While she was more than happy to be singing for the A-list crowd, which included 50 Cent, Paris Hilton and Ne-Yo, Nicki made her feelings about designers borrowing trends from black culture crystal clear.
“Thank you, Philipp Plein, for including our culture,” she told the crowd. “Designers get really big and really rich off of our culture, and then you don’t see a motherf**ker that look anything like us in the front row half the time. So let’s make some noise for Philipp Plein tonight.”
Earlier in the evening Philipp showed off his new season styles with a diverse group of models, including Snoop Dogg’s son Cordell Broadus, who stormed the runway in a pair of jeans with leather detailing and a biker jacket with no shirt underneath.
Future was also part of the fashion presentation, performing as Philipp made his way down the catwalk to close the show.
