Michael B. Jordan Set To Make His Directorial Debut With 'The Stars Beneath Our Feet'

The acclaimed actor is adapting the story of a young Harlemite into a feature film.

(AllHipHop News) After impressing audiences with his acting performances in The Wire, Fruitvale Station, and Creed, Michael B. Jordan is taking the turn to being a filmmaker. Deadline reports the 30-year-old entertainer is set to make his directorial debut.

David Barclay Moore's novel The Stars Beneath Our Feet is being adapted into a motion picture. Jordan will serve as the director and as a producer. Moore is penning the script and credited as an executive producer.

“Directing has been an area I’ve wanted to explore for some time now,” said Jordan. “The Stars Beneath Our Feet tells a story that really spoke to me, and I’m looking forward to jumping behind the camera."

Set in Harlem, The Stars Beneath Our Feet is the tale of 12-year-old Lolly Rachpaul. Following his brother's gang-related death, Lolly's imagination and new Legos help him deal with his loss and escape his environment.

Michael B. Jordan is also returning to HBO for Fahrenheit 451. In addition, he also stars as Erik Killmonger in Marvel's upcoming movies Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War.
