On Friday (January 27th), President Trump signed an executive order barring the citizens of seven predominantly Muslim countries from entering the United States.

Airports around the country were forced to roundup nationals from Iraq, Syria, Sudan, Libya, Somalia, and Yemen.

Dozens of people were detained at airports around the country, sparking protests in cities like Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, Denver and other major U.S. cities including Lupe’s hometown of Chicago.

“The 1st refugee/immigrants who sought safe haven in America & then committed terrorist acts against the indigenous citizens were white people,” Lupe Fiasco tweeted.

The rapper offered up some stats to prove that a bigger threat was already inside of most American’s homes.

“In regards to being killed, Americans should be more afraid of what’s in your own refrigerators than the religion of your nextdoor neighbor,” Lupe Fiasco said.
