Returning back to his hometown of Philly on October 28th, Lil Uzi Vert took the time to speak with teenage youth this past week at the Philadelphia Youth Empowerment Program.

The day turned out to be an incredible moment for the students of the “Role Models” Youth Empowerment program in Philly where Uzi Vert made his second community outreach appearance of the week.

Approximately 75 students greeted the rapper with loud screams and tears as he walked in to the community center dancing to Playboi Carti’s latest hit single, “Wokeuplikethis”.

During his time with the kids Uzi spent listened to their dreams, fears, and watched them showcase their creative talents.

“It’s so refreshing to see a rapper that the students look up to take the time out of their busy schedule to promote positive thinking and creativity.”, says Role Models Youth Empowerment Founder, Oddessa Blocker.

In addition, on October 26th, Lil Uzi Vert surprised 300 students of Thomas Murphy Clubhouse in Brooklyn with some after school fun and tickets to Power 105.1’s Powerhouse concert at the Barclays Center.

Lil Uzi Vert is scheduled to do several community outreach events over the next few weeks in the Tri- State Area. One event is turkey drive during the Thanksgiving Holiday in his hometown of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where the rapper will give out 500 turkeys to family in need.

In recent months Lil Uzi Vert received the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards’ coveted “Song of the Summer” honors for “XO Tour Llif3” and he scored a “Top New Artist” nomination at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards.
