(AllHipHop News) "Love & Hip Hop Atlanta" star Joseline Hernandez is putting her celebrity to use, to help the island where she was born.
Joseline has launched a new foundation called Puerto Rican Princess Foundation, with the goal of helping the residents of Puerto Rico.
The feisty reality star decided to create the new endeavor to help Puerto Rico after President Trump's $44 billion dollar aid package for Florida, Texas and Puerto Rico was revealed.
"I was born in Puerto Rico and raised in the Island. and it's a special place in my heart," Joseline said. And just like everybody else, we just wanna do what we can to make it better, and rebuild it."
According to experts, the island needs $95 billion dollars and the $44 billion Congress has pledged so far to divide between the three U.S. territories, is not nearly enough to cover the amount of devastation Puerto Rico sustained during Hurricane Maria.
So Joseline and her foundation or helping to raise funds, and create new employment opportunities on the island, which already had $74 billion in debt before the hurricane leveled the island.
"The Puerto Rican Princess Foundation is all about coming together with other entities, so we can bring jobs to the island because that's what we really want to do," Joseline said.
