The Harlem rapper took to Instagram today (December 4th) to announce the big news.

The move brings Jim into the world of Arena Football, where the Rough Riders compete in the American Arena league.

Jim Jones' purchase of a stake in the Richmond Roughriders caps off a busy year for the team.

Over the past year, the Rough Riders have signed players like Marvin Jones, Jamie Bender and Damond Powell.

"It's official Richmond Roughriders would like to introduce Roc Nation's recording artist Jim Jones as our Partner in our Arena Football team," said Roughriders' owner, Gregg Fornario.

"Jim brings a lot to the table and we are excited to have him on board."

Jim Jones and Gregg Fornario, will host a live press conference on Thursday at 1:00 PM, to detail the rapper's involvement with the team.
