(AllHipHop News) The 2017 BET Awards were a night of celebration, but the event also came just days after the news of Albert “Prodigy” Johnson’s death.
TDE emcee Kendrick Lamar also paid homage to P during his acceptance speech.
Following the BET Awards, several Hip Hop representatives gathered for a toast to honor the memory of Albert Johnson.
Havoc and Loud Records founder/WAV A&R executive Steve Rifkind hosted the event.
Kim, Fat Joe, Remy Ma, Xzibit, Busta Rhymes, Papoose, LeToya Luckett, and Stretch Armstrong were also on hand at The Palm Restaurant in downtown Los Angeles.
