A trailer for the project was launched on streaming service Apple Music, ahead of a scheduled release on Tuesday, but when it failed to surface, fans reached out to Brown on Twitter to ask about the documentary's status.

In a question and answer session with followers early, one person expressed their excitement at "Live At The Majestic," only for Danny to respond, "It’s not coming out I’m sorry".

"Crying right now because of it...," he added. "really hurt about the whole situation".

He didn't share any further details about why it had been halted, but when another fan asked if Apple officials had shelved it, he replied, "Pretty much."
