(AllHipHop News) Rapper Cardi B is seeking a little reward from top women's shoe designer Christian Louboutin after helping to boost the brand's sales with her hit song "Bodak Yellow."
The reality star-turned-MC references the famed red-soled high heels in her record-breaking debut single, which was released in June, although she doesn't call out the firm by name.
"These expensive, these is red bottoms, these is bloody shoes," she spits on the track.
The lyrics reportedly prompted a 217 percent spike in Internet searches for Christian Louboutin shoes, while also adding an estimated $4.5 million to the company's media value, according to Business of Fashion.
Cardi shared a snap of the article on her Instagram page late and tagged the official Louboutin page as she made a bid for an early Christmas gift to add to her 90-strong collection.
"Word !?S**iiitt I️ want a free boot @louboutinworld (sic)," she wrote beside the post.
Louboutin representatives have yet to respond to her request, but the designer himself previously insisted he would be open to meeting the rapper during an interview with The New York Times in October.
Meanwhile, Louboutin isn't the only brand Cardi is a big fan of - earlier this week, she shared a photo of herself sporting a thigh-high pair of black boots from U.S. retailer Steve Madden.
"Boots: @stevemadden !!" she noted in the accompanying caption, making sure to tell fans they could purchase the footwear in stores. "You too can get the look maaa (sic)!!"
She then teased what appeared to be an upcoming collaboration with the company, as she shared a selfie and simply captioned it, "BARDI X Steve Madden," using her nickname, a combination of Barbie and Cardi.
Further details about the rumored project have not yet been released.
