2016 XXL Freshman Class Member G Herbo Discusses The 2017 Class

The "Humble Beast" talks about the impact of being on the magazine's annual cover.

(AllHipHop News) G Herbo dropped his debut studio album in September. A year prior, the Humble Beast creator was one of the new acts to appear as part of XXL's 2016 Freshman Class.

DJ Smallz caught up with Herbo to discuss being on the Hip Hop magazine's highly publicized cover. The 22-year-old Chicago representative was also asked whether the honor added any pressure for the selected artists to succeed.

The '16 XXL Class included several other artists that presented projects this year. Lil Uzi Vert's Luv Is Rage 2, Lil Yachty's Teenage Emotions, Kodak Black's Painting Pictures, Denzel Curry's 13, Dave East's Paranoia: A True Story, and 21 Savage's Issa Album were all released in 2017.
