(AllHipHop Music) Just days before Complex Con, Roy Woods of OVO Sound fame drops new track, “Afterparty”, calling in Lil Yachty and Swae Lee for support. The FrancisGotHeat-produced track is bass heavy, featuring dramatic chopped hi-hats with Woods offering self-reflective bars about how he “never changed” in the first verse. Not unlike his signature style, the Canadian musician switches between rapping and singing seamlessly, his mellow voice blending in to the trap beat.

Yachty joins in on the second verse, revealing his superficial requirements for after-party guests, rapping

“Only bad bitches invited, yeah/ Ain't no strippers in this bitch but she ain't got clothes on/ Big group of hoes, but I can only let in a portion, yeah/Cause some of them hoes ugly”. Woods then reinforces this idea of only inviting attractive women to his afterparties during the chorus, repeating “Females only at my after-party”.

Swae Lee hops on to spit some bars in the final verse, letting us know he has no shortage of these women his counterparts speak of (Bad bitches watchin' me, want a follow/I've got models from Uganda to Toronto (I've got models). Though historically appearing on tracks in conjunction with his brother and Rae Sremmurd partner, Slim Jimmy, this is the 3rd recent solo appearance by Swae Lee. In the last few months, he has joined Future and Ty Dolla $sign on “Don’t Judge Me” off Ty’s Beach House 3, and is featured on Jhene Aiko’s Trip album.

“Afterparty” serves as the first single off Roy woods upcoming album, Say Less, which he announced via Twitter in March of this year.
