Each year, Art, Beats and Lyrics hits the road with a uniquely curated showcase of visual masterpieces. The traveling exhibition displays works of art from nationally and internationally known visual artists who span a variety of styles and genres. Recurring contributors to Art, Beats and Lyrics include the likes of Frank Morrison, Aniekan Udofia, and, AB+L curator, Dubelyoo. This year, the tour will welcome Dan Lish to the roster of acclaimed featured artists.

“I’ve been a part of Art, Beats and Lyrics since the beginning, and it’s surreal to see how it’s grown from a local art show to one of the largest and most anticipated national tours of its kind,” says Dubelyoo, featured artist and curator of Art, Beats and Lyrics. “I’m honored to be in a position to offer a platform to so many up and coming visual artists, especially in the urban space”.

The art aspect of the event creates a unique ambiance for guests as they explore the various interactive installations. From a music perspective, the combination of live performances and DJ sets from emerging and top hip-hop acts set the mood for the evening. Notable music performers throughout the years have included the likes of Scarface, Twista and Mannie Fresh to name a few.

“Art, Beats and Lyrics celebrates and highlights the extremely talented visual and hip-hop artists of today on a national scale,” says Casey Nelson, Brand Director, Jack Daniel’s Flavor Portfolio. “Jack Daniel’s has always been deeply rooted in arts and entertainment, and since its launch, Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey has continued to follow in those footsteps.”

Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey tops off the experience by providing guests with a variety of classic and delicious cocktail options. Art, Beats and Lyrics transforms untraditional art venues such as nightclubs, stadiums and warehouses to create a “museum meets concert” atmosphere for one night only.

The 2017-18 Art, Beats and Lyrics tour kicked off in Charlotte and is now headed to Washington D.C. for the first time in years.
