Trick Daddy Talks The Rise Of Southern Hip Hop & Threesomes At VH1 Hip Hop Honors

Trick Daddy talks the rise of southern Hip Hop in the 90s and influencing today's sound!

(AllHipHop Features) It's nothing like a 90's-styled block party to celebrate the game changers of the golden era of Hip Hop & R&B.

VH1 held one of it's most celebratory shows, 'Hip Hop Honors' at Paramount Studios In Hollywood, CA.

The 90's is the fan-favorite era for many as it represents a time when Hip Hop truly became mainstream and permeated popular culture.

VH1's 'Hip Hop Honors: The 90s Game Changers' honored Mariah Carey, Jermaine Dupri, Martin Lawrence, Master P, and Hype Williams.

AllHipHop's Rea Davis caught up with Trick Daddy to discuss his wildest 90's moments as well as his new role on Love & Hip Hop's Miami.

Trick Daddy on being a part of the golden era:

"Ah man the first time I got out of prison was '92. I violated the same time I got out. My first hit record was actually "Scarred" in '96. A lot of people don't remember but I did the "Scarred" record with Luke. So Luke gave me my first chance. But I did the first album in '97 'Based On A True Story'. It didn't really take off because while we were showing other people love, East Coast, West Coast, they wasn't showing the south no love. They thought all we could do is sell crack-cocaine, make booty shaking bass music, and kill people with AK-47s. So I wanted to do different music. When we did "Nann N-gga" they played our record all over the country, and we had people like Cash Money and No Limit, supporting and doing the same thing we were doing, and the South we here now. They even sounding like us now," said Trick Daddy.

Trick Daddy also said that the wildest thing he did in the 90's was threesomes, but, he said he's not having anymore because he's scared of these women.

Trick also wants you to tune in in January to see him on Love & Hip Hop Miami!

Last but not least, he says he's releasing a sex tape, and he jokes about his belly as if he is pregnant, as he says he will let us know who his baby mama is because "he's having it." Check out the interview below!
